This is a scheduled video call where we walk through placement options, product comparisons, measurements, and detailed pricing. The $79 is fully credited toward your installation if you move forward.

Once we’ve agreed to installation terms, we offer a loaner dog door insert on a first-come, first-served basis. This allows your dog to enjoy access while waiting for final installation or custom components.

 Yes — glass installations are one of our specialties. These require precise measurements and custom glass panels, which is why experience matters. 

 We have dog doors for Dogs over 220 pounds. A 10-pound dog can use the same dog door. 

  We would have to sell you the pet door to install it. This ensures we can warranty our installs. Please call or email if you see a brand you would like that is not listed on our website we can most likely help.

 Unfortunately, we have had plenty of people try over the years, but we try and remind people of how determined a feline can be. The short answer is no. We find the only way is to provide containment for the cat and freedom for the dog.

How Our Dog Door Installation Process Works

We start with a quick phone call, email, or text to determine the right size and style dog door for your pet. We provide pricing and confirm you are within our service area. This helps us give you an accurate quote for your dog door installation.

We schedule a free in-home consultation to take final measurements and review any potential challenges. We make sure your dog fits properly, your door functions correctly, and you are fully comfortable moving forward. Any possible additional charges are discussed upfront.

Once approved, we collect a deposit and order your custom replacement glass panel with a precision notch for the dog door. Typical installation time is 3–4 weeks, depending on glass production timelines. If you need it sooner, ask about our temporary plywood installation option so your dog can have immediate access while waiting for the custom glass.

On installation day, we carefully remove your existing glass panel in one piece and replace it with the new custom glass designed to match your current setup. Your original glass can be saved if you ever want to reverse the installation.

We professionally seal the glass and dog door, test the sliding door for smooth operation, and clean up the work area.

Before we leave, we review warranties, demonstrate how the locking cover works, and answer any questions. If you’d like, we can also help introduce your dog to their new door and make the transition easy.
 

• A new, undamaged, “in the box” product can be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund, less shipping
• A new, undamaged, “in the box” product can be returned within 31-90 days from the date of purchase for a refund minus a 10% restocking fee and shipping
• All original packaging and inserts must be intact and returned with the door
• A door that has been damaged during shipping will be exchanged upon receipt and inspection of the damaged door. If the door is damaged during the initial shipment, the customer has the right to refuse the package at the time of delivery. Please contact the DOG DOOR GUY INC customer service department to discuss replacement and return procedures. DOG DOOR GUY INC will issue a damage call tag and arrange pickup. Please retain all damaged shipping cartons and packing material for inspection by the shipper. If the door is damaged upon return shipment, the customer is responsible for contacting the shipper, issuing a damage call tag, and making arrangements for reimbursement
